The Hoplite Fund:
Supporting Our
Personnel Veterans Families

We are a Regimental Charity dedicated to supporting our serving personnel, their families and veteran community.

We Are Here When Service Puts Pressure on Life

The constant threat from global instability increases the demand on our people. This operational tempo applies significant pressure to the families of our service personnel and civil servants, both during their time in service and after.

The Hoplite Fund steps in to provide immediate aid beyond the conventional military support. We act as a beacon of strength for those who serve us. While we are always prepared to provide ‘first aid’ in an emergency, we are increasingly focused on being proactive—intervening early to prevent stress from escalating into a full-blown crisis.

Since the establishment of the Hoplite Fund charity in 2006, (Registered Charity No. 1116376)  it has set out to aid and support Regimental serving personnel, veterans and their families who serve on behalf of King and country. The charity will seek to extend its network, raise funds, and continually learn in order to be fit for the future, and become more agile in its response to serve and deliver effective support to its beneficiaries.

Vision

A trusted and recognised exemplar Armed Forces Charity who provides unparalleled access to support pathways.

Mission

A Regimental charity that supports and cares for its personnel, so that they can serve their Country, knowing their families and veteran community are cared for.

Aims

Strengthen outreach and support to our personnel, improve the Charity’s governance and also increase our income.

Our Values

Commitment

We pledge to operate with the highest standards of integrity and transparency. We ensure all resources are used effectively to achieve a tangible, positive impact for our beneficiaries.

Compassion

Every individual, regardless of their circumstances, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We take the time to understand the unique challenges you face and provide support that is not just effective, but genuinely empathetic and caring.

Trust & Accountability

We are accountable to everyone: our donors, our beneficiaries, and the public. This trust is earned through rigorous financial management and transparent reporting practices.

Life After Service:
Support for Service Leavers

Leaving the Armed Forces and adjusting to civilian life can present challenges. We work with dedicated partners to ensure our service leavers and their families are equipped for a successful transition.

Key Support Partners

Career Transition Partnership (CTP)

The official resettlement service that supports service leavers moving into civilian employment, education, or retirement. CTP offers expert career guidance, workshops, and access to specially-sourced job vacancies.
